After graduating from East Carolina University in 2006, Bradley Sasser was a secondary English Language Arts teacher at Greene Central High School for seven years. During this time, he worked with other content teachers to strengthen the school’s approach to writing across the curriculum. It was also during his time with Greene County Schools that he became a Level I trainer for the Keys to Literacy program and worked with other trainers within the district to begin strengthening the literacy skills in all students. Through this initiative, he worked with students and staff in various professional development sessions and one-on-one settings. In 2014, he joined the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program as an Instructional Coach in the UNC-Chapel Hill region; and in 2019, he transferred within the program to the ECU region. Since joining the program, he has worked with beginning teachers in the school districts of Halifax, Wilson, Vance, Roanoke Rapids, Weldon City, Lenoir, Pitt, Northampton, and Pamlico.
