LaKecia Brown, Instructional Coach

 Lakecia Brown received her degree in Middle Grades Education from East Carolina University and a Masters in Educational Instruction and Technology from Strayer University. She began my career in Pitt County as an ELA teacher at C.M. Eppes Middle School. She later moved to Greene County where she received extensive training in Curriculum Writing and Instructional Strategies. While employed at Greene County Middle School, she was recognized as a NC Teacher Ambassador. She returned to Pitt County as an ELA teacher at A.G. Cox Middle. Her ability to impact student learning with high quality instruction and use of best practices were acknowledged and she was offered the position of Instructional Coach. She has been an Instructional Coach with the North Carolina New Teacher Support program for the last three years. She serves as the Curriculum Director/ Coach at the ECU Community School. With her years of education experience, she desires to use the tools in her toolbox to continue to impact the teaching profession and student achievement.
