Maghan Kirschner

Maghan Kirschner is currently in her 13th year of education. Prior to joining the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program in the Cato College of Education at UNCC, she worked as an assistant principal at KIPP Academy Charlotte.  Maghan Kirschner began her journey in education as a middle school social studies teacher in 2007 at Wilson Middle school in Charlotte, NC.  In 2013 Maghan was accepted into a principal development program which allowed her to serve Project LIFT communities in Charlotte as a resident principal. 

She has earned her masters in Curriculum and Instruction from UNCC as well as her principal certification through the New Leaders Program. She is passionate about supporting students and teachers in underserved communities around the Charlotte area. Outside of her passion for education, Maghan is a wife and mother of two little girls.  She is an avid sports fan cheering on the Michigan State Spartans and Pittsburgh Steelers.  She loves to read and spend time on the lake with her family.
