Megan Romer

Megan Romer is an Instructional Coach for the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) who supports student success by providing beginning teachers with individualized one-on-one coaching through understanding grade level demands, data driven instruction and research based strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students. Megan knows the impact an educator can have goes beyond the classroom when time is taken to foster relationships, provide equitable learning experiences, and promote continuous growth.  

Megan has supported K-12 teachers across all content areas in both public and charter school settings. She provides in the moment feedback through collaborative teaching and reflection to create actionable steps that are student centered and enhance instruction. Currently she is working towards improving students educational outcomes by collaborating with beginning teachers in planning, instruction, and assessment.

Megan is a licensed  K-6 elementary and 6-9 social studies teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Concordia Ann Arbor with a double minor in Social Studies and Kinesiology and a Master’s of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Winthrop University. 

When she is not coaching, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing soccer.
