Myra Watson

In addition to her role as Regional Director for North Carolina New Teacher Support Program, Myra Watson is faculty in the Birth-Kindergarten Program and Associate Director of the School of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and Allied Professions at Western Carolina University. Before working in higher education, she taught kindergarten for 9 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Myra loves teachers and teacher education and believes all children have the right to be taught by well-prepared, passionate educators. She lives in Western North Carolina with her husband, two daughters, two cats, and miniature Labradoodle puppy.
