Ashley Norris

Ashley Norris is an Assistant Director of Special Projects who collaborates with the program office and partners to elevate program initiatives and highlight impact by showcasing the innovative practices of NC NTSP. Ashley believes strongly that every child deserves a highly qualified teacher and the work with NC NTSP ensures that teachers are supported with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to impact student learning.

Ashley has worked with educators across the professional continuum.  As Internship Coordinator for the Birth-Kindergarten Program, she has supported preservice teachers completing their degree and licensure requirements.  Her work has strengthened relationships with clinical teachers and school districts across North Carolina.  Ashley has served beginning teachers as an instructional mentor with the Early Educator Support, Licensing, and Professional Development Program serving licensed teachers in private NCPK classrooms in the eastern region of North Carolina.

Ashley holds a bachelor of science degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education and a master of science degree in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University.

When she is not working with educators, she is with her family enjoying outdoor activities.  Ashley can be found hiking, skiing, enjoying all water sports, or out for a run. She enjoys traveling, cooking with her family, and reading a great book.
