Devin Aucoin

Devin Aucoin is a committed Regional Director for NC State University’s NC New Teacher Support Program and a Professional Learning Extension Specialist for the Office of Professional Education. With extensive experience in instructional design, teacher coaching, and educator development, Devin is dedicated to supporting new teachers and strengthening the educator workforce across North Carolina.

Devin has championed efforts to support alternative licensure pathways and enhance professional learning experiences. Through mentorship and strategic program development, she has played a pivotal role in improving teacher effectiveness and student success.

Devin began her career as an English teacher in Durham Public Schools before advancing into other roles, including Instructional Facilitator, District Beginning Teacher Mentor, and Curriculum Administrator for CCTI Wake-Durham (Central Carolina Teaching Initiative). In these roles, she has led professional learning initiatives, mentored early-career educators, and contributed to the design and implementation of curriculum to support residency teachers.

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Teaching & Learning at Clemson University, completing a Master’s in Workforce Training & Development from NC State University and a Bachelor’s in English Secondary Education from East Carolina University, where she was a participant in the NC Teaching Fellows Program.

When not working to strengthen the educator pipeline, Devin enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, and crafting.
