Elisabeth Wilson
Elisabeth Wilson serves as the Southwest Regional Director for the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP), where she leads regional strategy, strengthens district partnerships, and supports instructional coaches in their work with beginning teachers. In this role, which she has held for several years, she focuses on creating conditions in which early-career educators can thrive through targeted coaching, reflective practice, and collaborative learning environments.
In addition to her regional leadership with NC NTSP, Elisabeth is the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Director and the Director of Alumni Engagement for the Cato College of Education at UNC Charlotte. In these positions, she supports educator preparation, mentor development, and long-term engagement with graduates as they transition into the profession and advance in their careers.
Before assuming her current leadership role with UNC Charlotte, Elisabeth worked in CMS for more than 20 years as a literacy specialist, instructional coach and classroom educator, experiences that fuel her commitment to building strong school, university partnerships and empowering teachers across all stages of their professional journey . She is passionate about cultivating sustainable systems of support that elevate teacher practice and contribute to equitable student success.
