Dr. Jason Miller
Dr. Jason Miller is the Assistant Director for Research and Extramural Funding for the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program. He has supported beginning teachers throughout his career as a band director, mentor, instructional coach, assistant principal, and school principal. He was named teacher of the year in 2014 at Eblen Intermediate School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Mars Hill University, a master’s degree in School Administration from Appalachian State University and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Western Carolina University. In his spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys reading, spending time with his family and dogs, and driving a tour trolley in the mountains of western North Carolina.
