Kathy began her career in education as a Kindergarten teacher with Durham Public Schools. Kathy also taught in Wake County before joining the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program as a new teacher support coach. She is a product of North Carolina public schools and attended UNC-Chapel Hill for both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees.
