Sarah Petty
Sarah Petty is an Instructional Coach for the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program who supports beginning teachers by providing differentiated coaching support to fit each person’s unique needs and goals. Sarah believes every student deserves a great teacher and that instructional coaching and mentorship is critical to developing outstanding educators.
Sarah has worked as a high school teacher, testing and beginning teacher coordinator, and school administrator. She began her career as a lateral entry teacher after earning a Bachelor of History and Bachelor of Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. In 2013, she completed her Master of School Administration (MSA) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
When she is not working with teachers, Sarah is involved with advocacy for students with disabilities in her community. She also enjoys reading fiction and traveling with her family.
