Cameron Gupton

Cameron began his career teaching World Geography and U.S. History at Weldon High School after graduating from East Carolina University in 2013. However, he was drawn back to Greenville and taught American History at Greene Early College in Snow Hill for eight years. During his time at GEC, he worked to build strong relationships with students, parents, and the community. He served as the school’s instructional technologist and delivered professional development at the school, county, and state levels. He served as the 2018-2019 Southeast Regional Teacher of the Year and became a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescence and Young Adult Social Studies – History. After working with numerous ECU clinical interns and mentoring beginning teachers, Cameron realized he was passionate about instructional coaching.
