Heather House

Heather House is an Instructional Coach for the New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) who supports beginning teachers by being an advocate, actively listening, providing feedback, and offering guidance to assist the teacher in reaching their full potential.  Heather believes in building strong relationships with teachers to support student learning and increasing teacher effectiveness.

Heather has supported beginning teachers across all grade levels, all content areas, and from a multitude of backgrounds.  Heather prides herself in building relationships with all stakeholders to create a safe space for teachers to learn and grow.  Currently she is working towards providing individualized support, meeting teachers where they are, to increase teacher confidence and retention ultimately leading to higher student engagement and achievement. 

Heather is trained in the Top Ten Tools related to LETRS, Cognitive Coaching, Adaptive Schools, and a variety of other instructional coaching programs as well as being awarded the Principal Fellows Scholarship.  Heather holds a Bachelor of  Science in Middle Grades Education, Master of Arts in Education, and a Master of School Administration all from East Carolina University.

When she is not coaching, Heather enjoys spending time with her family which often includes sitting on the sidelines of a soccer field or in an auditorium of a dance competition.
