Jackie Caldwell Hoskins
Jackie Hoskins is proud to be celebrating her 22nd year in education. As a classroom teacher for over 13 years in North Carolina and New York City, she began her career in the Montessori setting, later transitioning to teaching in urban schools. The majority of her classroom experience was centered in early childhood and upper elementary. Working in urban settings with children in low income communities and low performing schools afforded her the opportunity to develop her pedagogy specifically to differentiating lessons to diverse learners. Even after transitioning from classroom teacher to Curriculum Facilitator, she continued her work and passion for low performing schools. Assisting teachers with developing curricula that meets the needs of all students is her constant focus. Her experience as a classroom teacher prepared her to work with teachers in all stages of their career to develop their pedagogical practice. Building positive, lasting relationships and working to adapt and scaffold lessons with student achievement in mind is at the heart of her coaching and development of teachers.
