Lori Best

Lori Best is an instructional coach who guides teachers to lead  by empowering students to create a student-led classroom. Empowering students, differentiation, and equity practices will lead to powerful learning experiences for all students.

Lori collaborates with district leaders, principals, support personnel, and teachers.  This support includes individual coaching, ongoing professional development, and feedback to support  teachers’ meeting their goals for their students.  Currently Lori supports teachers in the eastern coastal region of North
Carolina. 

Lori earned her Master’s in Teaching in Science Education from UNCW.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with Teaching Certification from UNCW.  Lori currently holds an NC teaching license for secondary and middle school science, middle school language arts and K-12 reading.

Lori has been trained in Orton-Gillinham Reading for Dyslexia.  Lori is passionate about differentiation and creatively supporting students to ensure that every student experiences success.

When she  is not supporting teachers, Lori enjoys spending time with family, beach and outdoor activities.
