During her career, Kathleen has served as a classroom teacher, intervention teacher and team facilitator, and a literacy coach. She has spent most of that time within the Wake, Durham, and Chapel Hill school districts. Kathleen is a North Carolina native and a product of North Carolina schools, including higher education at ECU and UNC Chapel Hill. She hopes to continue a legacy of strong instruction and mentorship in her role as a New Teacher Support Coach. She believes in the power of coaching partnerships to support and nurture teachers in their professional roles. Through a coach approach, Kathleen believes teachers can build on their strengths in order to fulfill the mission of creating equitable classrooms that promote opportunities for all students to succeed.
